I know that I can’t be the only mom that, while on vacation, could use some time to focus on themselves or reset their brains. Walt Disney World is wonderful, but it also means a lot of stimulation and a lot of potential for melt downs. One of my top requirements in a Walt Disney World resort is that the atmosphere when we come back to the resort is calm, and not over stimulating.
One of my other requirements is that there is a path for me to go for a run, or a walk on, when I’m feeling overwhelmed. These little breaks give me a chance to be the best, most engaging, fun mom I can be on vacation. Almost all resorts offer some sort of marked running path that is anywhere from .08 miles to 4 miles depending on the resorts you’re at!
Any resort concierge can help you with the location of the trail at your resort but here’s a quick break down of what different resorts offer:
Resorts with running trails 1 mile and under:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and All-Star Sports (resorts are connected by a 1 mile paved jogging trail)
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Resorts with running trails over 1 mile:
- Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort (this area features several jogging paths through the resorts and around Crescent Lake)
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Riveria Resort
- Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels
- The Cabins and Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
- Disney’s Port Orlean-French Quarter
