As of a mother of 4 I understand that taking multiple children on a vacation can be daunting, but there are some things you can do to make the trip bearable for everyone! Let’s get into it!

Let’s be honest, it’s impossible to please everyone all the time. It’s unrealistic to pretend like everything will run smoothly, but finding ways to make it easier on the children will make the trip more bearable.

Here’s a list of 5 things I do to ensure the children (and those around us) have a more enjoyable experience.

1. Activity packs – crayons, markers, coloring activities
2. Snacks
3. Fidget toys
4. Sticker books
5. Tablets

For older kids, we play charades or the character alphabet game (take turns naming a Disney character for each letter of the alphabet).

It’s important to remember that not all children are the same and what works for one, might not work for the others. I never recommend packing a park bag for each one of the kids to carry because you will end up with all of the bags or one will inevitably be left somewhere. . .not me speaking from experience. You know what is best for your child and what makes the most sense.

I would love to hear other suggestions you have or things you do to ensure that everyone has the most magical time while waiting in long ride lines at the parks! Let me know what you think!
