how to meet princesses in walt disney world

If you’re going to Walt Disney World, chances are a princess-obsessed child is one of the reasons you’re visiting! So how do you make meeting royalty a part of your trip?

Character Dining Experiences- There are 2 character dining experiences at the moment that allow children (and adults) to meet their favorite princesses. Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Both of these experiences offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. During your meal several of the princesses will make their way through the dining hall to greet each guest for autographs, pictures, and obviously hugs.

Meet the Princesses at Fairytale Hall and other Meet and Greet Locations in Magic Kingdom- Want to know a secret? This is my favorite way to use Genie+. On our Magic Kingdom days, we try to purchase Genie+ to avoid the lines to meet the princesses. My toddlers literally cannot handle waiting in line to see their favorites, so we try not to! At Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom, you will often find

Cinderella and Rapunzel greeting guests with another princess. We’ve met Elena of Avalor (a favorite interaction of mine), Jasmine, and Tiana here! Merida also currently has a meet and greet space near the Mad Tea Party, though she is leaving to make room for a Mirabel soon! Ariel also greets guests at Ariel’s Grotto near Under the Sea- The Journey of the Little Mermaid and Belle can be found at Enchanted Tales with Belle!

Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus- Across from Akershus Royal Banquet Hall you’ll find our favorites Queens, Anna and Elsa. Meet the sisters at their summer cabin! I really love this meet and greet, the cabin is so well themed you don’t even feel like you’re waiting in line as you find all the hidden details.

Character Encounters throughout the Parks- While more common in Disneyland, you will often see princesses walking around the parks in Walt Disney World. Snow White and Mulan are often found on Mainstreet U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, and many princesses can be found in their respective countries throughout the World Showcase in Epcot. These interactions are more spontaneous and can really add some excitement to your day! I’ve even found Flynn Rider walking around with Rapunzel in Epcot so keep your eyes open, you never know who you’ll find.

Special Character Meet and Greets at Parties/After Hours Events- One of the benefits of attending a Party or After Hours Event at Walt Disney World is unique character meet and greets! Though the princesses are popular and available daily, during the parties they will often be greeting guests alongside their reclusive princes! I always think it is so fun to see how they interact with each other and the guests. We also had the joy of meeting Moana during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party, a meet and greet that wasn’t offered regularly until recently. Aurora, who is usually only at the Dining experiences was greeting guests with Prince Phillip at both the Halloween and the Christmas parties!
